Our lift and gripper parts may not have arrived but that's not going to stop the RoboCrusaders! Since last year's robot already has a linear-slide lifting mechanism, they took off its block holding attachment, leaving the front of the lift empty and ready to have a gripper built on. While some continued work on the gripper, others worked on recognizing an image placed on a cone using a camera and image processing. They were successfully able to differentiate between different sides of the cone facing the camera. Another team member made a slowed down version of the driving program so our fast robot chassis won't zoom around out of control.
